Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux Engineer to join our infrastructure and network engineering team, responsible for deploying, implementing, and supporting secure Linux-based platforms within enterprise and data centre environments. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience with Linux operating systems and a strong background in network security, firewall technologies, and infrastructure deployment.

This role requires expertise in NixOS, with experience in RHEL, GUIX, or other immutable operating systems. The successful candidate will also have solid knowledge of Linux networking, security zoning, stateful firewalls, and packet filtering technologies such as nftables. Experience with Cilium and Zeek is highly desirable, while exposure to Suricata will be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, and support enterprise Linux servers across production and non-production environments.
- Implement and manage Linux operating systems, including NixOS, RHEL, GUIX, and other immutable OS platforms.




- Deploy and configure Linux-based networking and security services.
- Implement Linux firewall solutions using nftables and stateful firewall technologies.
- Configure Linux networking, including Layer 2 networking, routing, VLANs, and security zoning.
- Support deployment and integration of enterprise firewall platforms, including Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Check Point.
- Implement and troubleshoot Linux security controls, host hardening, and network segmentation.
- Configure and support Cilium for Kubernetes networking and security (where applicable).
- Deploy and maintain Suricata IDS/IPS and Zeek network monitoring solutions (preferred).
- Perform Linux system upgrades, patching, migrations, and implementation activities.
- Troubleshoot operating system, networking, firewall, and security-related issues.
