Role & responsibilities
- Implementation and support of network infrastructure used to deliver firewall and security, virtualization, load-balancing, proxy, DNS and Internet connectivity services across multiple vendor equipment.
- Monitor and report incidents involving all technologies within the security space.
- Liaise with multiple stakeholders for input and completion of critical issues and problem resolution
- Evaluate available technology options and select those that best suit business and technical requirements
- Produce detailed design documents of infrastructure to meet the business requirements
- Procurement and configuration of network security equipment
- Change Management and implementation
- Coordinating the installation of equipment and connections
- Testing of network connectivity post implementations
- Verify technical requirements for large projects
- Guide and mentor junior engineers with their projects
- Assist junior engineers with project costing estimates
- Security / Firewall, VPN services and associated technologies
- DMZ, Zoning,



and Network Access architecture
- Edge network routing, switching, and connectivity technologies
- Load balancing technologies
- IP / DNS services
- Remote Access / Cloud Environment support
- WIFI
- DDOS

Preferred candidate profile
- Strong working knowledge of all areas in network Security include Internet Security Boundary, Extranet Security Boundary, Intranet Security Zones, VPN B2B, VPN S2S,IDS/IPS, DNS, DHCP , NTP , OOB
- Network specific certifications such as CCNA, CCNP (R,S &T;)/CCIP, CCIE, JNCIE
- Network Security Event Monitoring
- Managing Network Security Devices
- Security Management Systems
- Vulnerability Management
- Browsing Content Control & Delivery
- Load balancing Content Traffic Management
- B2B Information Exchange (FTP, plug proxies)
- Management Services
