Job Title: Floor Coordinator

Department: Operations / Nursing / Administration

Reports To: Hospital Administrator / Nursing Superintendent / Operations Manager

Job Summary:

The Floor Coordinator is responsible for smooth day-to-day operations on assigned hospital floors, ensuring coordination between departments, patient care services, and support staff. The role focuses on patient satisfaction, operational efficiency, and compliance with hospital protocols and NABH standards.

Key Responsibilities:1. Patient Care Coordination
- Ensure proper admission, transfer, and discharge process of patients.
- Monitor patient flow and bed management.
- Address patient and attendant concerns promptly.
- Ensure patient comfort, cleanliness, and satisfaction.

2. Coordination with Departments
- Act as a link between doctors, nursing staff, housekeeping, billing, and other departments.
- Ensure timely availability of services like diagnostics, pharmacy, and housekeeping.
- Coordinate for emergency cases and priority services.

3. Staff Supervision
- Monitor attendance, grooming,



and discipline of floor staff.
- Ensure proper duty allocation and shift management.
- Report staff issues or shortages to management.

4. Quality & NABH Compliance
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, SOPs, and NABH guidelines.
- Maintain proper documentation and records.
- Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives.

5. Housekeeping & Hygiene Monitoring
- Ensure cleanliness and infection control practices are followed.
- Coordinate with housekeeping for regular cleaning and disinfection.
- Report any maintenance issues immediately.

6. Communication & Reporting
- Maintain effective communication between patients, attendants, and hospital staff.
- Prepare daily reports (occupancy, incidents, complaints, etc.).
- Escalate critical issues to higher management.

7. Emergency Handling
- Assist in handling emergency situations (Code Blue, fire safety, etc.).
