Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled VMC Operator with 1–2 years of hands-on experience in operating Vertical Machining Centre (VMC) machines. The candidate will be responsible for machine setup, component machining, quality inspection, and achieving production targets while maintaining safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate VMC machines as per production requirements and job specifications.
- Set up machines, tools, fixtures, and workpieces accurately.
- Load and unload components and ensure proper clamping.
- Perform milling, drilling, tapping, boring, and other machining operations.
- Read and understand engineering drawings and job dimensions.
- Set and adjust cutting tools, offsets, and machining parameters.
- Check component dimensions using vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other measuring instruments.
- Monitor machining operations and ensure required dimensional accuracy and surface finish.




- Maintain production targets and quality standards.
- Identify tool wear, machine abnormalities, and quality issues and report them to the supervisor.
- Follow standard operating procedures and all safety guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping of the machine and work area.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience as a VMC Operator.
- Hands-on experience operating VMC machines.
- Basic knowledge of CNC/VMC machining processes and cutting tools.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and dimensional inspection.
- Basic understanding of tool offsets and machine settings.
- Valuable knowledge of shop-floor safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- ITI/Diploma in Machining, CNC/VMC, Fitter, Turner, or a related technical trade preferred.
