Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior Microbiologist with 1–2 years of relevant experience in an FMCG, food testing, or microbiology laboratory. The candidate will be responsible for performing microbiological testing of food and FMCG samples, maintaining laboratory standards, accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with applicable laboratory procedures and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform microbiological analysis of food, beverage, FMCG, raw material, and finished product samples.
- Conduct routine microbiological tests such as TPC, yeast & mould, coliform, E. coli, Salmonella, Staphylococcus aureus and other relevant parameters as per approved methods.
- Prepare and handle media, reagents, cultures, and test samples as per SOPs.
- Perform sample preparation, dilution, plating, incubation, colony counting, and result interpretation.
- Maintain proper laboratory hygiene, aseptic conditions, and contamination control.
- Operate and maintain microbiology laboratory equipment such as autoclave, incubator, hot air oven, colony counter, weighing balance,



pH meter, and microscope.
- Maintain accurate records, worksheets, test reports, and laboratory documentation.
- Follow SOPs, test methods, safety procedures, GLP, GMP, and laboratory quality requirements.
- Ensure proper identification, storage, and disposal of samples, cultures, media, and microbiological waste.
- Support equipment calibration, verification, media quality checks, and environmental monitoring activities.
- Report abnormal observations, deviations, and out-of-specification results to the concerned senior/manager.
- Assist during internal audits, external audits, customer audits, and quality assessments.
- Ensure timely completion and reporting of assigned testing activities.

Educational Qualification
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Food Technology, or a related Life Science discipline.
- Candidates with relevant laboratory experience in the FMCG/Food Testi
