About the Role
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support New Product Introduction (NPI) and process engineering for heavy machining/equipment assembly operations. The role owns the transition of products from engineering design to manufacturing-ready production, ensuring BOM accuracy, process risk mitigation, and tooling readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from design release through production readiness
- Develop and maintain VBOM/MBOM structures, including EBOM-to-MBOM conversion and BOM accuracy audits
- Conduct PFMEA and SFMEA to identify and mitigate process and system-level risks
- Create and maintain Control Plans for manufacturing process control
- Plan and specify tooling and fixtures required for assembly processes
- Coordinate with Design, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure manufacturability and production readiness
- Support process validation, first article inspection, and production sign-off activities
- Drive continuous improvement through root cause analysis and corrective action
Required Skills & Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing/process engineering, preferably in heavy machining, off-highway, or capital equipment industries
- Hands-on experience with VBOM/MBOM development and BOM structuring
- Working knowledge of PFMEA, SFMEA, and Control Plan documentation
- Proficiency in Teamcenter, Creo, and/or SAP
- Strong cross-functional coordination and communication skills
- B.E./B.Tech degree in a relevant engineering discipline
