About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale backend systems powering large-scale IoT platforms. You will work on systems that ingest, process, and analyze high-throughput data streams from distributed devices such as solar installations or other IoT-enabled infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend services for IoT platforms handling millions of device events.
- Build and maintain high-throughput data ingestion pipelines for real-time and batch processing.
- Work with time-series data for monitoring, analytics, and reporting use cases.
- Architect reliable messaging systems using protocols like MQTT and queueing systems.
- Optimize systems for performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and frontend teams to ensure seamless data flow.
- Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
- Ensure data integrity, security,
and compliance across distributed systems.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in backend development using
Node.js with TypeScript
.
- Hands-on experience building systems for
IoT products at scale
(solar, energy, or similar domains preferred).
- Deep understanding of messaging and streaming systems:
- MQTT
- Amazon IOT core
- Amazon SQS and SNS
- RabbitMQ
- Experience working in
high-throughput, low-latency environments

- Expertise in handling
time-series data
(e.g., using InfluxDB, TimescaleDB, or similar).
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and system design.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).
- Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.

- Experience in renewable energy domains (solar, EV, smart grids, etc.).
