Senior Backend Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer with 7+ years of experience in building scalable, high-performance backend systems and distributed applications. The ideal candidate will have robust expertise in backend development, cloud-based architectures, and API design, with experience in financial services, fintech, or other data-intensive environments considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable backend services and APIs
- Build and optimize microservices and distributed systems to support high-volume applications
- Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable solutions
- Design and implement secure, scalable data models and database architectures
- Integrate with internal and external systems through RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures
- Ensure application performance, reliability, security, and maintainability




- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical strategy
- Maintain high engineering standards through code reviews, testing, and best practices
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive continuous improvements

Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in backend software development
- Strong proficiency in one or more backend programming languages such as Java, C#, Node.js, Python, or Go
- Experience building and maintaining REST APIs and backend services
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture
- Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and/or NoSQL databases
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of software design patterns and scalable system architecture
- Experience with Git and modern development workflows
