Roles and Responsibilities

Product Design & Development
Transform product concepts into detailed 3D models and 2D engineering drawings.
Establish product specifications, tolerance limits, and fitment guidelines.
Design primary packaging components like caps, closures, pumps, and containers.

Tooling & Process Management
Evaluate mold designs, core-cavity layouts, and gate locations for production.
Coordinate with tool rooms to oversee mold fabrication and modifications.
Troubleshoot defects during mold trials like flash, shrinkage, or short shots.

Testing & Validation
Define testing protocols for product strength, leakage, and functionality.
Conduct assembly fitment checks and analyze failure modes (DFMEA).
Approve raw materials and masterbatches for mass production.

Project Coordination
Maintain project timelines from initial design to final handover.




Work closely with Quality, Production, and Sourcing teams.
Prepare technical documentation, BOM (Bill of Materials), and product PPTs.

Key Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills
High proficiency in CAD software like Creo, SolidWorks, or NX Unigraphics.
Robust knowledge of plastics processing (Injection, Blow, or Injection Blow Molding).
Deep understanding of engineering plastics (PP, HDPE, PET, PC, ABS).
Knowledge of GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards.

Soft Skills
Solid analytical mind for problem-solving.
Excellent verbal and report-writing communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
