Duties

- Develop comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with language proficiency standards and educational best practices, including AP (Advanced Placement) program requirements.
- Deliver engaging lessons that incorporate educational technology, multimedia resources, and IT-integrated activities to enhance language acquisition.
- Implement classroom management strategies that promote respectful behavior, active participation, and a positive learning atmosphere for diverse student populations.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing, quizzes, oral assessments, and written assignments.
- Provide individualized support through tutoring sessions, differentiated instruction, and mentoring to accommodate various learning styles and special education needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues on instructional design, curriculum development, and school initiatives to ensure consistency and high-quality education delivery.




- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavioral concerns, and ways to support learning at home.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level in Education, Linguistics, French Language or related field; advanced degrees preferred.
- Proven experience teaching French at middle school or high school levels; private school experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional design, and educational technology integration.
- Familiarity with the Chicago Manual of Style for editing language materials and AP style for standardized writing conventions.
- Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to adapt lessons for different learning styles and social sciences content areas.
- Experience working with teenagers in diverse educational settings; ability to foster an inclusive classroom environment.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, students, parents, and administration.
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures, literacy education strategies, and behavior management techniques.
- Ability to implement IT- integrated lessons seamlessly into daily instruction while maintaining compliance with educational regulations.
