Experience:
- 10-15 Years Industry: Capital Projects, EPC, Infrastructure, Energy & Industrial Projects Position Summary As an Associate Director Capital Projects, you will lead and manage PMO and project management consulting engagements for large-scale capital projects across sectors including Renewables, Solar Cell Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Refining, Power, Infrastructure and Industrial Projects.
- The role involves providing strategic and operational leadership across project planning, project controls, risk management, governance, execution monitoring and performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Project & PMO Leadership Lead PMO setup, implementation and project governance for large-scale capital projects.
- Drive planning, scheduling, cost management, progress monitoring, risk and change management.
- Establish project controls, KPIs, dashboards and performance reporting mechanisms.
- Monitor EPC contractors, consultants, vendors and multiple project stakeholders.
- Client Advisory & Delivery Advise senior client stakeholders on project execution strategy, governance and performance improvement.
- Identify project risks, delays, cost overruns and schedule slippages and develop mitigation plans.
- Lead project reviews, steering committee meetings and executive-level reporting.
- Support clients in improving project delivery processes and controls.
- Digital & Project Controls Drive implementation and optimization of Oracle Primavera P6, MS Project, Power BI, SAP/ERP and other project management systems.
- Develop integrated project schedules, cost dashboards and management information systems.
- Promote digital transformation and data-driven decision-making across capital projects.
- Team Leadership Lead multidisciplinary teams comprising project controls, planning, commercial, risk, engineering and PMO professionals.
- Mentor consultants and project management teams and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Coordinate with Partners, Directors and cross-functional consulting teams.
- Business Development Support Partners and Directors in identifying and developing new capital projects opportunities.
- Lead preparation of proposals, RFP responses, presentations and client pitches.
- Build strong relationships with CXOs, Project Directors, EPC leaders and senior client stakeholders.
- Thought Leadership Contribute to industry reports, white papers, case studies and capital project insights.
- Represent the organization at client meetings, industry forums and relevant conferences.
Required Qualifications
- 10-15 years of experience in Capital Projects, EPC, Infrastructure Consulting, Project Management or PMO.
- Proven experience managing large-scale capital projects/programs, preferably in Renewables, Solar Cell Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Refining, Power or Industrial Projects.
- Robust expertise in Project Controls, Planning & Scheduling, Cost Management, Risk Management and PMO Governance.
- Experience working with EPC contractors, consultants and multiple project stakeholders.
- Experience with Big 4 / Management Consulting / PMC / EPC organizations preferred.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
- MBA / PMP / equivalent project management certification preferred.
- Preferred Skills Strong knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP/ERP and Power BI.
- Strong understanding of EPC project execution, contracts, procurement and construction management.
- Knowledge of ESG, sustainability, statutory and regulatory requirements in capital projects.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work across project sites and travel extensively as required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and team leadership capabilities.
