- Ensure in-process quality control on manual insertion (MI) lines
- Monitor component insertion quality (polarity, orientation, alignment)
- Perform IPQC checks and maintain quality records
- Identify defects such as wrong insertion, missing components, solder issues
- Conduct root cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Coordinate with production and process teams for improvements
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and SOPs
- Support internal and external audits (ISO)
- Reduce rejection, rework, and customer complaints
Skills Required
- Knowledge of manual insertion process and PCB assembly
- Familiar with 7 QC tools, SPC, basic quality concepts
- Positive observation and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of soldering defects and IPC standards
Qualification
- Diploma / B.Tech (Electronics / Mechanical)
- 3 to 7 years experience in EMS / PCB manufacturing
