Role Summary
The Identity and Access Management Technology Analyst, Specialist role provides advanced analysis, recommendations, and implementation of identity and access management security for new and existing technology platforms, environments, and software used across the enterprise. The role coordinates with other teams and departments to review access rights and potential risks, while monitoring access, investigating incidents, auditing compliance, and recommending improvements to strengthen system security and control effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Assists with the design, build, and deployment of identity and access management technological capabilities that are compliant with enterprise security standards and integrated with enterprise access administration infrastructure. Assists with needs assessments to capture availability of technology, infrastructure support, administrative needs and ensures alignment to organizational objectives and vision.
- Provides advanced support for issues related to technology, platforms, environments or access administration. Applies knowledge of risk ranking of the various technology platforms and environments when resolving issues.
- Designs and develops technical documentation for security administration software, platform and environment security access. Actively participates in the development of tools to automate access management services and to implement access and security policies and standards.
Initiates, designs and develops the documentation required to support application onboarding.
- Solves complex technical problems that have resulted in multiple incidents within operations to understand root cause and resolve the issues. Assists team and managers in devising solutions to resolve issues proactively.
- Identifies and recommends opportunities for continuous improvement. Supports the implementation of changes to department policies and procedures to meet changing business needs and to achieve department objectives.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
- Investigate and analyze security incidents, collaborating with key stakeholders and assisting in both internal and external audit activities while maintaining detailed documentation for future reference.
- Continuously monitor and audit user access levels to ensure compliance with organizational security standards and policies, maintaining a secure and compliant operational environment.
- Review existing security controls, identifying weaknesses and recommending targeted improvements to strengthen system defenses and eliminate potential vulnerabilities.
- Facilitate security awareness within the organization, ensuring teams are informed of access control procedures and the importance of maintaining robust security practices.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Identity and Access Management, Information Security, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong experience in Core Java Development.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Microservices.
- Experience working with AWS services including Lambda, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Database experience is mandatory, with hands-on experience in Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or any similar database technology.
- Strong understanding of database schemas and data modeling concepts, with working knowledge of AWS RDS and Redshift.
- Critical Thinking, Communication (verbal written), Problem Solving, Collaboration, and Time Management skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
- Preferred to have exposure to Cloud Security, Multi-Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), Python, and security/identity technologies such as IAM, Okta, SailPoint, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), IGA, PAM, Access Provisioning, Role Lifecycle Management, Access Certifications, authentication and authorization concepts, and relevant cloud or security certifications.

This role is based in Hyderabad, Telangana at Vanguard's India office. Only qualified external applicants will be considered.
