Purpose of the Role

To manage Front Axle production operations and ensure achievement of production, quality, safety and productivity targets through effective manpower, process and equipment management.

Key Responsibilities-

- Manage day-to-day Front Axle production as per production plans and schedules.
- Ensure adherence to process parameters, quality standards and SOPs.
- Monitor and improve productivity, OEE and line efficiency.
- Handle production processes such as axle assembly, component fitment, torque tightening, inspection and testing.
- Ensure first-time-right production and minimize rejection, rework and line stoppages.
- Monitor manpower deployment, line balancing and shift-wise production.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, PPC, Stores and Engineering teams to resolve production issues.
- Analyse production losses and implement Kaizen, 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.




- Ensure compliance with safety standards and shop-floor discipline.
- Monitor and control material consumption, line stoppages and process deviations.
- Drive root-cause analysis for production and quality issues using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone and CAPA.
- Prepare and monitor daily production reports, rejection/rework data and key manufacturing KPIs.
- Support current product/process development, line trials and process improvements.

Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Automobile or Industrial Engineering.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in Production/Assembly, preferably in tractor, automotive or auto-component manufacturing.
