About the Role

Cloudinfrastructure, AI platforms, software subscriptions, product partnerships, andengineering tools represent a significant portion of ouroperating expenses and directly influence product innovation, customerexperience, gross margins, and long-term profitability.

With the rapidadoption of Generative AI and increasing investments in technology platforms,finance teams are expected to provide deeper visibility into cost drivers,forecasting accuracy, vendor economics, and investment returns.



TechnologyFinance is becoming a critical strategic function that enables business leadersto make informed decisions on scaling productswhile maintaining financial discipline.

Weare seeking a highly analytical finance professional to partnerclosely with Engineering, Product IT teams. This role will ownplanning, forecasting, reporting, and optimization of technology-related costs, including cloud hosting, AI/LLM spend, software subscriptions, product partnercosts, infrastructure expenses, and other technology investments. The rolewill act as a bridge between Finance and Technology teams.

This is anopportunity to build a best-in-class Technology Finance function and play a keyrole in shaping how the company manages cloud, AI, product partner, and otherstrategic technology investments.

Key Responsibilities

1. TechnologyCost Management

- Own budgeting, forecasting, and monthly tracking of:
- Cloud hosting costs (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
- AI/LLM costs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, etc.)
- Product partner and third-party platform costs
- SaaS subscriptions and software licenses
- Infrastructure and security tool expenses
- Other technology platform costs

- Build cost centre-level visibility and accountability.
- Identify cost-optimization opportunities and track their realization.
- Monitor unit economics of technology spend.

2. FPA andFinancial Planning

- Lead monthly forecasting and variance analysis for all technology costs.
- Analyse Actual vs Budget vs Forecast variances and provide actionable insights.
- Develop driver-based forecasting models for costs
- Support Annual Operating Plan (AOP)



and quarterly re-forecasts.
- Build dashboards and reporting for technology leadership.

3. Vendor Commercial Finance Support

- Act as finance point of contact for technology vendors and partners.
- Review commercial proposals, renewal quotes, and pricing structures.
- Validate invoices against contracts and actual consumption.
- Analyse vendor spend trends and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Coordinate with business teams during vendor onboarding and renewals.

BusinessPartnering

- Partner with Engineering leaders, Product team, IT team, and Legal teams
- Challenge spending decisions using ROI and business case analysis.
- Evaluate technology investment proposals.

Required Skills Experience

Education

- CA / MBA Finance

Experience

- 35 years of experience in: FPA, Business Finance, Commercial Finance. Technology Finance, Procurement Finance

Technical Skills

- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets
- Financial Modelling
- ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, etc.)
- Understanding of SaaS business models

CommercialSkills

- Vendor cost analysis
- Contract interpretation
- Invoice validation
- Pricing analysis
- Spend governance
