- - Production Manager – Nitrile Glove Manufacturing
- - Position Overview
- - The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the complete nitrile glove manufacturing process, ensuring efficient production, consistent product quality, optimal resource utilization, cost control, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- - The role requires strong technical expertise in dipping technology, process optimization, production planning, and team management, with a focus on achieving production targets while maintaining high standards of quality and operational efficiency.
- - Key Responsibilities
- - 1. Production Planning & Execution
- - - Plan, organize, and manage daily production operations across nitrile glove manufacturing lines.
- - Ensure production targets for volume, quality, yield, and timelines are consistently achieved.
- - Monitor production schedules and allocate manpower, machinery, and resources effectively.
- - Identify and resolve production bottlenecks to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- - 2. Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- - - Optimize manufacturing processes across dipping, curing, stripping, chlorination, washing, drying, and packing.
- - Improve production efficiency and reduce wastage, rejection rates, defects, and downtime.
- - Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- - Analyze process parameters and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- - 3. Quality Management
- - - Ensure finished products consistently meet applicable international quality standards, including ASTM and EN standards.
- - Work closely with QA/QC teams to minimize defects such as pinholes, thickness variation, tearing, poor tensile strength, and other quality issues.
- - Investigate production-related quality issues and implement effective corrective actions.
- - Support customer complaint investigations and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
- - 4. Team Management & Development
- - - Lead and manage production supervisors, operators, technicians, and other plant personnel.
- - Plan manpower requirements and shift schedules based on production needs.




- - Establish performance expectations and monitor team productivity.
- - Conduct training and development programs covering production processes, quality, safety, and operational best practices.
- - Promote a culture of accountability, discipline, safety, and continuous improvement.
- - 5. Maintenance Coordination
- - - Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance.
- - Ensure optimal availability and reliability of dipping machines, ovens, conveyors, stripping systems, and other production equipment.
- - Minimize unplanned downtime and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- - Participate in root-cause analysis of recurring equipment and process failures.
- - 6. Safety, Environmental & Regulatory Compliance
- - - Ensure strict adherence to plant safety procedures and environmental regulations.
- - Maintain protected handling and storage practices for nitrile latex, coagulants, chemicals, additives, and other hazardous materials.
- - Ensure compliance with applicable ISO, GMP, factory, environmental, and occupational health and safety requirements.
- - Drive initiatives to reduce workplace incidents and improve overall safety performance.
- - 7. Inventory & Cost Control
- - - Monitor consumption and utilization of nitrile latex, chemicals, additives, packaging materials, and other production inputs.
- - Identify opportunities to reduce material consumption and manufacturing costs without compromising quality.
- - Coordinate with procurement, stores, and warehouse teams to ensure uninterrupted availability of production materials.
- - Monitor production costs and optimize resource utilization.
- - 8. Reporting & Documentation
- - - Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.




- - Monitor and report key operational KPIs, including production output, yield, efficiency, rejection rate, downtime, and cost per unit.
- - Maintain accurate production records, process documentation, and audit-related records.
- - Provide regular operational updates and recommendations to senior management.
- - Required Qualifications & Experience
- - - Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- - 7–12+ years of relevant experience in nitrile/latex glove manufacturing or a similar continuous/process manufacturing environment.
- - Strong hands-on knowledge of nitrile glove dipping technology and manufacturing processes.
- - Experience managing high-volume production operations and large production teams.
- - Strong understanding of process parameters, quality control, equipment performance, and production optimization.
