Openhouse is looking for enthusiastic teachers to conduct 1:1 Robotics classes for children at their homes in and around Sarjapur, Bangalore.
The classes focus on helping children understand robotics, electronics, problem-solving and basic coding concepts through hands-on projects and activity-based learning.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct engaging 1:1 Robotics classes at students' homes using the Openhouse curriculum.
2. Guide children through hands-on activities, building projects, practical electronics and basic coding concepts where applicable.
3. Explain concepts in a straightforward and engaging manner based on the child's age and learning level.
4. Track student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and the Openhouse team.
5. Conduct trial classes for interested families when required.
6. Prepare students to demonstrate their projects during showcases and events.
7. Attend periodic teacher training sessions and team meetings.
8. Maintain punctuality and professionalism while visiting students' homes.
Time Commitment: Any 5 days a week | Approx.
20 hours per week
- Weekdays: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Weekends: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Location: Currently hiring for Sarjapur and nearby areas.
- Classes will be conducted at students' homes.
- Students will be assigned within nearby areas wherever possible to minimise travel.
- Candidates should be comfortable travelling locally.
Additional candidate preferences:
1. Passionate about introducing children to robotics and technology.
2. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or a related field preferred.
3. Comfortable working with children aged 5–12 years.
4. Basic understanding of practical electronics and coding.
5. Able to explain technical concepts in a simple, child-friendly manner.
6. Reliable, punctual and comfortable interacting with parents.
7. Prior experience teaching Robotics, Coding or STEM to children is preferred, but enthusiastic candidates with strong fundamentals can also apply.
