Job Description – Assistant Manager, Quality Control

· Qualification: B.Sc./M.Sc. in Food Technology, Dairy Science, Microbiology, or related field

Role Summary: Responsible for maintaining product quality, food safety, laboratory standards, regulatory compliance, and quality documentation across manufacturing operations, while leading the Quality Control team.

Key Responsibilities:

· Ensure compliance with GLP, GMP, food safety, hygiene, and quality SOPs.

· Monitor quality specifications and conduct in-process and batch-wise quality checks.

· Supervise testing of raw materials, semi-finished,



and finished products.

· Manage product release, batch traceability, and quality documentation.

· Identify deviations and conduct RCA and CAPA.

· Maintain and update SOPs, quality manuals, and compliance records.

· Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.

· Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports using MS Excel.

· Lead, train, and monitor Quality Executives across shifts.

· Coordinate with Production to implement timely quality interventions and corrective actions.

· Communicate quality deviations, trends, and improvement plans to senior management.

Candidate Profile:

· 2–3 years of hands-on Quality Control experience in dairy, sweets, bakery, or food manufacturing.

· Strong knowledge of food safety, quality control, laboratory testing, GMP, GLP, and HACCP.

· Good analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

· Proficiency in MS Excel and quality reporting.

· Strong leadership and team-handling capabilities.

· Detail-oriented, disciplined, and compliance-focused.

· Willingness to work extended hours during audits, peak production, or quality escalations.

· Own conveyance and proximity to the plant preferred for operational readiness.
