Job Summary:

The Interior Site Engineer specializes in the high-precision execution of interior fit-outs and finishes. This role requires an eye for design detail and a deep understanding of materials like timber, veneers, glass, metal, and stone. You serve as the vital link between the Interior Designers creative vision and the technical craftsmen on the ground, ensuring that alignments, finishes, and dimensions are executed with millimeter-level accuracy.

Domain-Specific Key Responsibilities:

1. Advanced Joinery & Carpentry Supervision

a. Drawing Translation: Convert detailed 2D interior sections, elevation drawings, and joinery details into physical furniture and paneling.

b. Material Selection: Verify that incoming wood, veneers, laminates, and hardware (like soft-close hinges and channels) match specified design standards.

c. Veneer Matching: Supervise specialized tasks like veneer grain matching, edge-banding, and seamless laminate pasting.

d. Modular Integration: Oversee the installation of prefabricated modular kitchens, wardrobes, and vanity units, ensuring perfectly level alignment.

2. High-End Finish & Aesthetic Control

a. Surface Preparation: Inspect wall surfaces for perfect leveling, putty application,



and moisture control before applying premium paints or wallpaper.

b. False Ceiling Detail: Supervise the framing and closing of Gypsum or POP false ceilings, ensuring exact cutouts for recessed lights and HVAC diffusers.

c. Flooring Layouts: Direct the dry-laying of marble, granite, or patterned tiles to approve grain flow and tile symmetry before permanent fixing.

d. Light Integration: Coordinate with electricians to ensure cove lighting, profiles, and accent lights are installed without visible wires or hotspots.

3. Precision Measurement & As-Built Verification

a. Snag-Free Dimensions: Take exact "as-built" measurements after plastering to order high-cost, zero-tolerance custom materials like tempered glass, quartz countertops, and metal frames.

b. Clearance Checks: Verify necessary clearances for moving parts, such as wardrobe sliders, appliance inserts, and door swings.

4. Specialized Interior Vendor Coordination

a. Niche Craftsmanship: Manage specialized vendors including automation engineers, acoustic consultants, wallpaper installers, and glass fabricators.

b. Sequence Management: Schedule trades in tight interior spaces to prevent a painter from ruining a freshly polished floor or an electrician damaging a finished wall.
