Job Description — Modular Furniture Production Designer / Cutlist Designer

About the Job

We are a growing modular furniture and interior manufacturing company in Pune, looking for a Modular Furniture Production Designer / Cutlist Designer to handle technical drawings, accurate cutlists, and production requirements for modular kitchens, wardrobes, and other furniture.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare accurate panel-by-panel cutlists for modular kitchens, wardrobes, and furniture.
- Calculate dimensions for carcass, shutters, shelves, drawers, drawer bottoms, side rails, partitions, backs, fillers, and plinths.
- Prepare detailed production drawings for factory manufacturing.
- Understand different board thicknesses such as 18mm, 16mm and 8mm.
- Calculate edge-banding requirements.
- Prepare hardware and fitting requirements based on the design.
- Coordinate with the factory team to ensure drawings and cutlists are practical for production.
- Check all dimensions carefully before sending the job for cutting.
- Make corrections and revisions based on site measurements/design changes.
- Maintain proper project-wise cutlist and production records.
- Use software such as AutoCAD,



SketchUp, Excel

Required Skills:

- Strong knowledge of modular furniture manufacturing.
- Excellent understanding of cutlist calculation and cabinet construction.
- Practical knowledge of drawers, hinges, channels, shelves, shutters and hardware.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD/SketchUp or similar software.
- Good knowledge of Excel.
- Ability to read and understand furniture drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to coordinate with factory and production teams.

Experience: 2–5 years preferred.

Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month, depending on experience and skills.

Important:

This is a technical production role, not primarily a 3D interior-designing role. Candidates must have practical experience preparing production-ready cutlists for modular furniture. Candidates with only interior-design/3D-rendering experience and no manufacturing/cutlist experience may not be suitable.

Practical cutlist test will be conducted during the interview.
