Barista – Role Description

Position: Barista

Department: Food & Beverage / Café Operations

Reports To: Restaurant Manager / F&B; Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. The Barista will be responsible for preparing high-quality coffee, beverages, and other café products while ensuring excellent customer service and maintaining hygiene and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based beverages, teas, cold beverages, and other menu items.

Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other beverage equipment.

Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, portioning, and quality.

Take customer orders and provide friendly, efficient service.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the bar, equipment, and work area.

Monitor stock levels of coffee, milk, syrups, powders, and other beverage ingredients.

Follow proper food safety and hygiene standards at all times.

Handle customer requests and resolve basic service-related concerns professionally.





Assist with opening and closing duties of the café.

Minimize wastage and ensure proper storage of ingredients.

Coordinate with the kitchen and service team for smooth operations.

Stay updated with beverage trends and contribute ideas for new drinks and presentations.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Barista is preferred.

Knowledge of espresso preparation, coffee brewing, and beverage presentation.

Positive communication and customer-service skills.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced café environment.

Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.

Positive attitude, punctuality, and willingness to learn.

Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays.
