Position Title: Training & Placement Coordinator Institute: MIT School of Fine Arts (MIT SOFA) & MIT School of Architecture & Planning (MIT SOAP) Experience: 3 to 6 years of experience Location: MIT ADT University, Vishwaraj Baug, Loni Kalbhor, Pune, Maharashtra – Immediate Joiner Preferred Role Overview The Training & Placement Coordinator will serve as the strategic and operational link between academia and industry for students pursuing degrees in Fine Arts, Applied Arts, Visual Communication, and Architecture. This role requires a proactive professional capable of managing recruitment drives, securing high-value industrial training and internship opportunities, conducting portfolio review workshops, and building long-term corporate partnerships with design agencies, architecture firms, creative studios, and real estate developers. Key Responsibilities 1. Industry Relations & Campus Placements Corporate Outreach: Proactively connect with top architectural firms, urban planning agencies, creative agencies, design studios, UI/UX agencies, media houses, and game/VFX studios. Placement Execution: Organize end-to-end campus recruitment drives, off-campus interviews, and portfolio presentation rounds for graduating batches of B.Arch, M.Arch, BFA, and MFA students. MOU & Partnerships: Facilitate formal ties, MOUs, and industry collaboration agreements for guest lectures, industry-sponsored studio projects, and site visits. 2. Internships & Practical Training Co-ordinate mandatory practical training/internships as required by the Council of Architecture (CoA) for B.Arch students and specialized internships for Fine Arts students. Ensure proper documentation, performance evaluations, and feedback collection from employer studios and firms. 3.
Student Skill Enhancement & Portfolio Coaching Organize specialized training modules covering: Portfolio curation (Architectural sheets, digital art portfolios, UI/UX showcases). Soft skills, interview etiquette, and creative pitch presentation. Technical software workshops based on emerging market trends (BIM, Revit, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, 3D Rendering, etc.). Conduct preliminary portfolio screenings to ensure student readiness before client/firm submissions. 4. Database & Operational Management Maintain an up-to-date repository of employer leads, active recruiters, alumni networks, and student placement data. Track and publish placement analytics, salary benchmarks, and recruiter feedback to share with faculty leadership for continuous curriculum enhancement. Coordinate seamlessly with the Central Training & Placement Cell of MIT-ADT University. Qualifications & Experience Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Design, Fine Arts, Business Administration (HR/Marketing), or a related discipline. Experience: 3 to 6 years of experience in Corporate Relations, Industry Interface, or Training & Placement within higher education institutions (specifically design, architecture, or creative media domains). Desired Technical & Qualified Skills Domain Insight: Understanding of creative portfolios, design deliverables, architectural office workflows, and industry standards. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong pitching and negotiation ability. Tech Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace, CRM tools, LinkedIn Recruiter, and basic knowledge of visual layout tools. Networking: Established network within architecture, interior design, advertising, and creative production firms.
