About Human Loops

Human Loops is a Data Company supporting leading AI, robotics, and technology organizations through Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) services, including data collection, annotation, validation, teleoperation, and data processing. Unlike traditional outsourcing firms, all our operations from recruitment and training to quality assurance and delivery are managed in-house, enabling us to maintain high quality standards and efficient project execution.

We are early stage but fast growing startup based out of Nagpur, building a World Class company from Nagpur!

Role Overview

The Video Annotations Specialist works across two connected tracks. The primary track is video annotation: labelling egocentric (first-person) footage, robotic manipulation recordings, and internet-sourced video to the specifications set by our clients. The secondary track is data processing and quality control: reviewing, verifying, and organising the footage our field teams collect before it moves into the annotation pipeline.

The role suits someone with sharp visual attention, patience for frame-level detail, and the discipline to apply the same standard to the thousandth clip as to the first. Full training is provided on all annotation tools and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities Video Annotation

- Annotate video data across multiple modalities — egocentric/POV footage, robotic manipulation recordings, and internet-sourced video.
- Apply annotation types as required by the project: bounding boxes, object tracking across frames, segmentation masks,

keypoints and pose, hand–object interaction labelling, temporal action segmentation, and descriptive captioning.
- Work within client-specified annotation guidelines and taxonomies, applying labels consistently across long-form footage.
- Use annotation platforms provided by the clients.
- Meet daily and weekly throughput targets without compromising label accuracy.
- Flag ambiguous cases, guideline gaps, and edge cases to the Team Lead rather than guessing.
- Participate in calibration sessions and incorporate reviewer feedback into subsequent batches.

Data Processing & Quality Control

- Review incoming egocentric and field-collected footage against defined QC criteria — framing, focus, exposure, occlusion, audio integrity, and recording duration.
- Apply the company's two-phase scout-and-confirm review method and log defects against approved thresholds.
- Identify and escalate Red Flag footage (privacy exposure, consent issues, unusable capture) immediately.
- Verify uploads, check for missing or corrupted files, and confirm correct naming conventions and folder structures.
- Maintain QC logs, Excel trackers, and per-batch reporting.
- Coordinate with Field, Logistics, and Processing teams to resolve capture-quality issues at source.
- Follow all company data security and confidentiality policies.

Eligibility

Education: Graduate in any discipline.

Experience: 1–3 years in Video/Image Annotation, Data Labelling, Data Processing, QC, Back Office, or BPO roles.
