HITACHI RAIL is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Project Controller who thrives

n

in a fast-paced setting. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide

n

range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Bangalore, India.

n

Accountabilities:

n

Project level responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

n

 In conjunction with Project Team, develop the Work Breakdown Structure and

n

Budgets for the project

n

 Work with Work Package Leaders (WPL) to develop accurate cost to complete

n

estimates and percent complete evaluations

n

 Track, monitor and report planned budgets/forecast vs. actual spend using project

n

controlling tools (SAP, PCS and other tools). Provide variance explanations and

n

possible recovery plan actions

n

 Work with Project Planner to review latest schedule and quarterly report the Earned

n

Value

n

 Monthly reporting of project results

n

 Assist with the preparation, processing and tracking of contract Change Orders

n

 Work with the project manager to assist with the preparation and tracking of

n

potential claims for additional work

n

 Track internal and external invoicing and reconciliation of cash receipts and

n

retention.

n

 Understand and report on the cash flow position of the project

n

 Work with global controllers for Intracompany projects

n

 Track subcontractor invoicing, payments and reconciliations

n





 Review and approve Purchase Order Requisitions in alignment with budget and

n

track P.O.s in PCS.

n

 Prepare quarterly forecasts and annual budget and reporting of the key performance

n

indicators for the project

n

 Monitor the financial "health" of the project and raise the "red flag" when a negative

n

impact or condition arises.

n

 Calculate EVA at global level in accordance with group controlling mode

n

 Resolve of queries from global reporting on actual, variance to budget, workload,

n

risk , opportunities etc

n

 Support functional Manager on project progress, key numbers and other

n

assignments like arbitration, claims etc.

n

 Support local ADMN in filling of Lower tax and other fillings as per statute

n

 Address queries both from Statutory, Internal and Global auditor. Resolve open

n

points with auditor pertains to project progress, delay, un-billed revenue, cost

n

overrun, EOT etc.

n

Required Skills/ Knowledge:

n

 10-15 Years of experience

n

 Knowledge of statutory (SAP) and management (reporting) Tools

n

 Knowledge in Project cost control, Project Management

n

 Expertise of Accounting & finance, Tax, requirements

n

 Knowledge of legal requirements (Contract clauses , Bond text; L/C ...)

n

Languages: English and Other Indian Language.

n

Education/Qualifications:

n

 CMA/CA/MBA with 8-10 years of experience in handling Trunkey Project;

n

 Degrees in accounting or equivalent with experience of 10-15 years in handling

n

Trunkey Project.
