Description

We are seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) to support the Controllership function with a primary focus on Property, Plant & Equipment (PPE), Intangible Assets, and Insurance. The role will be responsible for ensuring accurate accounting, reporting, compliance, asset governance, insurance administration, and audit support in accordance with applicable accounting standards and internal control requirements

Responsibilities

- Property, Plant and Equipment (PPE)
- Manage end-to-end accounting and control of fixed assets.
- Review and capitalize assets additions in line with accounting policies and applicable accounting standards.
- Monitor capitalization of projects and timely transfer from Capital work in progress (CWIP) to fixed.
- Perform monthly depreciation calculations and reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate asset master maintenance and tagging of fixed assets.
- Coordinate periodic physical verification exercises and resolve discrepancies.
- Track asset disposals, retirements, write-offs and transfers.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls relating to asset capitalization and management.
- Prepare schedules and disclosures for statutory and management reporting.

Intangible Assets

- Manage the company's insurance portfolio, including property, marine, liability, cyber, employee and other business insurance policies.




- Coordinate policy renewals and ensure adequate coverage across business operation.
- Liaise with insurance brokers, insurers, surveyors and internal stakeholders.
- Handle end-to end insurance claims management, including claim documentation, submission, settlement tracking and accounting.
- Monitor claim recoveries and ensure proper accounting treatment of insurance proceeds.
- Review coverage adequacy and recommend risk mitigation measures.
- Maintain insurance registers and ensure timely premium payments.

Stakeholder Management

- Collaborate with plant operations, procurement, project teams, IT, legal and business finance teams.
- Act as a key point of contact for auditors, insurance providers and consultants.
- Provide a guidance to business stakeholders on asset capitalization and insurance related matters.

Technical Skills

- Robust knowledge of Ind AS/IFRS relating to PPE and Intangible Assets.
- Understanding of insurance accounting and claims management.
- ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.)
- Advanced Excel and financial reporting skills.
- Experience with internal controls and audit processes.

Chartered Accountant (CA) : Fresher

CA Inter : 0-3 Years experience
