About Controvia AI

Controvia AI is an early-stage enterprise software startup helping large organisations automatically audit 100% of employee expense claims using AI.

Our platform identifies fraud, policy violations and financial leakages while dramatically reducing the effort involved in manual audits.

We have successfully deployed our solution with our first enterprise customer and have several large enterprises evaluating the platform. We are now building the team that will help take Controvia through its next stage of growth.

Our customers are typically large enterprises across manufacturing, retail, financial services and other field-force-intensive industries. We primarily work with CFOs, Financial Controllers and Internal Audit teams.

The Role

We’re looking for a highly analytical and ambitious Strategy Analyst to work on some of the most significant commercial and strategic questions facing Controvia.

You’ll work closely with the founder across market strategy, growth, pricing, competitive research, customer analysis and new business opportunities.

This is not a role where you’ll spend your time preparing reports that disappear into a folder.

Your analysis will directly influence decisions being made by an early-stage company.

Responsibilities
Strategy & Market Analysis

· Research markets, industries and customer segments.

· Analyse market size, competitive dynamics and emerging trends.

· Identify attractive opportunities for Controvia.

· Develop structured recommendations based on your analysis.

· Help evaluate new products, markets and geographies.

Growth Strategy

· Analyse our target customer segments and go-to-market approach.

· Identify potential growth channels.

· Research how enterprise customers discover and purchase AI solutions.

· Analyse sales and marketing performance.

· Help develop experiments to accelerate customer acquisition.





Commercial Analysis

· Support pricing and packaging decisions.

· Develop customer ROI and business-case models.

· Analyse potential enterprise opportunities.

· Help prepare commercial proposals and strategic presentations.

Founder & Strategic Projects

· Work directly with the founder on high-priority initiatives.

· Support investor and fundraising analysis when required.

· Research potential partnerships and strategic opportunities.

· Take ownership of projects that don’t yet have a natural functional owner.

What We’re Looking For
Essential

· 1–3 years of professional experience.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.

· Strong written and verbal communication.

· Ability to structure ambiguous problems.

· Comfortable working independently.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Genuine interest in AI, technology and startups.

Highly Desirable

Experience in one or more of:

· Management consulting.

· Corporate strategy.

· Business analysis.

· Market research.

· Investment banking or venture capital.

· High-growth startups.

· B2B technology.

An MBA or similar postgraduate qualification is useful but not required.

Success in This Role

Within your first 6–12 months, you will:

· Develop a deep understanding of Controvia’s market and customers.

· Produce analysis that directly influences company decisions.

· Identify new growth opportunities.

· Take ownership of increasingly important strategic projects.

· Become a trusted analytical partner to the founder and leadership team.
