Key Responsibilities

Boiler & Utility Operations

n

n
- Operate and monitor high-pressure boilers, steam generation systems, and auxiliaries.
n
- Ensure protected startup, shutdown, load management, and emergency handling of boilers.
n
- Monitor combustion efficiency, steam parameters, water chemistry, and equipment health.
n
- Coordinate with water treatment, and process utility teams.
n
- Ensure optimum fuel utilization and heat-rate performance.
n

n

Safety & Compliance

n

n
- Ensure compliance with Boilers Act, Boiler Operation Engineers' Rules, statutory inspections, and plant safety procedures.
n
- Maintain valid BOE certification and support statutory audits.
n
- Participate in HAZOP, risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety reviews.
n
- Strict adherence to PTW, LOTO, and Process Safety Management requirements.
n

n

Reliability & Maintenance Support

n

n
- Identify abnormalities and initiate corrective actions.
n
- Support preventive, predictive, and shutdown maintenance activities.
n
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for troubleshooting and reliability improvement.
n
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) of equipment failures.
n

n

Operational Excellence

n

n
- Monitor KPIs related to steam generation, fuel consumption, efficiency, and emissions.
n
- Identify opportunities for energy conservation and cost optimization.
n
- Support digitalization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
n

n

Documentation & Reporting

n

n
- Maintain shift logs, operating records, statutory documents, and incident reports.
n




- Ensure accurate handover and communication between shifts.
n

n

Qualification

n

n
- Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Power Plant, Production, or Instrumentation Engineering.
n
- Mandatory valid Boiler Operation Engineer (BOE) Certificate of Proficiency as per Boiler Operation Engineers' Rules.
n

n

Experience/Qualification

n

Degree/ Diploma/ITI

n

n
- '5 to 10 Yrs. / 8 to 15 Yrs. of relevant experience.
n
- 'Min 5 Yrs as II Class Boiler Asst -ITI
n

n

Preferred Experience

n

n
- AFBC/CFBC/PF/HRSG boilers.
n
- Coal, Biomass, Petcoke, Gas-fired or Multi-fuel boilers.
n
- DCS-based operations.
n
- Utility systems within refinery or petrochemical complexes.
n
- Exposure to large integrated power and steam generation facilities.
n
