Qualification: BE/B.Tech – Plastic / Production / Mechanical or CIPET

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Production (Injection Molding) to manage and optimize injection molding production operations. The role will be responsible for production planning and execution, process troubleshooting, OEE improvement, productivity enhancement, cost reduction, quality improvement, and effective management of production manpower.

The ideal candidate should have solid hands-on expertise in Injection Molding operations and troubleshooting , along with experience in TPM, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, SMED, SPC and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Execution

- Prepare and execute daily/weekly/monthly production plans.
- Ensure achievement of production, quality and delivery targets.
- Optimize utilization of machines, manpower and materials.
- Monitor planned vs. actual production and take corrective actions.

2. Injection Molding Process & Troubleshooting

- Handle day-to-day injection molding process-related issues independently.
- Troubleshoot molding defects, machine/process problems and minimize downtime.
- Ensure proper machine, mold and process parameter settings.
- Drive process standardization and continuous process improvement.

3. OEE & Productivity Improvement

- Monitor and improve OEE of injection molding machines .
- Identify losses related to availability, performance and quality.
- Reduce rejection, scrap, downtime and COPQ.




- Improve machine utilization and overall production efficiency.

4. Process Optimization / Value Engineering

- Identify opportunities for process improvement and value engineering.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Optimize cycle time, changeover time and process parameters.

5. Manpower & Team Management

- Plan and allocate manpower according to production requirements.
- Lead, motivate and develop production teams.
- Monitor team productivity and skill development.
- Conduct training for operators, supervisors and production personnel.

6. Cost Reduction

- Identify opportunities for OPEX and conversion cost reduction .
- Reduce material wastage, process losses and production variances.
- Drive cost-saving and productivity improvement projects.

7. TPM & Continuous Improvement

- Implement and monitor TPM activities on the shop floor.
- Drive 5S, Kaizen, SMED and autonomous maintenance initiatives.
- Support continuous improvement and operational excellence programs.

8. Quality & Manufacturing Systems

- Ensure adherence to defined quality and manufacturing processes.
- Support defect analysis, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Maintain required production and process documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable IMS/manufacturing systems.
