Job Description

The position is accountable for:

n

The responsibilities of this role have been specially carved out to focus on product and process development for innovations, renovations and Value engineering.

n

This role will be primarily responsible for :-

n

1. Liaison with local marketing team for overall project management like preparing Gantt charts, NPD meeting updates and samples sharing.

n

2. Scheduling and completing all NPD trials in a timely manner in coordination with local mfg. team.

n

3. Coordinate with production and SCM teams for commercialization of NPDs

n

4. Regularly interact with Group R&D; team for technology transfer and trials reporting.

n

5. Creating documents related to NPD and uploading BOMs in SAP.

n

6. Ensuring ownership of stability testing and regulatory compliances for relevant products.

n

7. Ensure participation in GMP, Food Safety internal audits and have awareness about quality of products.

n

Key result area (KRA)

n

1. Leads recipe development as per marketing brief

n

2. Ensure material connectivity and flawless execution of industrial trials.

n

3. Maintain R&D; documentation like PDR recipes, Stability tests, decay study etc.

n

4.



BOM updates on SAP – Ensure timely availability of RM codes and SFG codes for NPDs.

n

5. Executing BOM budgeting exercise

n

6. Ownership of NPD labs: Ensure right equipment and man power allocation as per project priorities.

n

Key Performance Indicator (KPI)

n

• Coordinate with GRD and Regulatory teams.

n

• Timely completion of trials as per plan.

n

• Update on Devex and relevant locations on time.

n

• Accurate data with right scrap factors before launch.

n

• Completion of budget exercise as per timelines.

n

• Optimal utilization with zero overtime.

n

Qualifications / Certifications

n

Essential - Graduate in Food technology/Science, Chemical Technology or Dairy Technology.

n

Desirable - Post graduate in Food Technology.

n

Knowledge

n

Essential - Product development in confectionery and allied industry.

n

Desirable - Worked with flavors applications. Application of SAP, Fluent with Power point and MS Excel.

n

Experience

n

Essential - 8+ years in product development/ R&D; or process development roles.

n

Desirable - 6-8 years in Food B2C companies.
