Our client, a large, well-established manufacturing plant near Visakhapatnam, is hiring an AGM - Finance | CapEx Accounting and Asset Management to take financial ownership of major capital investments and strengthen CapEx governance, asset integrity and management reporting.

This is not a routine fixed-assets accounting role.

n

n

The successful candidate will oversee CapEx investments exceeding Rs 100 crore , working closely with Projects, Procurement, Shared Services and other cross-functional teams.

- Grade/Level: Assistant General Manager

- Location: Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh

- Experience: Approximately 6 to 8 years of relevant experience
n
- Qualification: CA, CMA or MBA Finance
n
- Core expertise: CapEx accounting, project accounting, fixed assets and financial controls

What the role owns

n

n

n
- Preparing and monitoring the annual CapEx budget.
n
- Evaluating Capital Expenditure Proposals within defined timelines.
n
- Monitoring CapEx commitments, commercial negotiations and Bank Guarantee validation.
n
- Reviewing CWIP balances and driving timely project closure and asset capitalisation.
n
- Ensuring the accuracy, completeness and integrity of fixed-asset records.
n
- Coordinating physical verification and reconciliation of assets.
n
- Monitoring Mega Risk Insurance and EAR Cum Storage policies for major projects.
n
- Supporting post-CapEx evaluation and project financial monitoring.
n




- Strengthening accounting controls, statutory compliance and audit readiness.
n
- Preparing inputs for the CFO and other senior management reviews.
n
- Visiting project sites periodically to assess project status and financial progress.

What we are looking for

n

n

n
- Approximately 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in CapEx accounting, project accounting, fixed assets or financial controls.
n
- Strong working knowledge of CapEx and asset accounting.
n
- Hands-on experience with SAP, financial reporting, MIS, audit and internal controls.
n
- Experience managing multiple high-value projects within demanding timelines.
n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
n
- Confidence to question delays, identify financial risks and drive matters to closure.
n
- Solid stakeholder-management skills across Finance, Projects, Procurement and Shared Services.
n
- Willingness to work on-site in Visakhapatnam and visit project locations when required.
