Job Description: An Assistant Manager (AM) of Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM) oversees daily operations, maintenance, and safety for mining equipment (excavators, dumpers, etc.), ensuring high availability through preventive/breakdown maintenance, managing teams, controlling costs, adhering to DGMS/safety rules, and coordinating logistics for efficient, uninterrupted mining output, involving technical supervision and record-keeping. Key Responsibilities:

- Operations Management: Supervise daily HEMM deployment, fuel management, and logistics, ensuring smooth mining and dispatch.
- Maintenance & Reliability: Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance; analyze failures (RCA) to improve equipment life.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to DGMS (Directorate General of Mines Safety) rules, Mines Act, and safety SOPs; conduct safety audits and training.
- Team Leadership: Train, supervise, and guide operators, technicians, and mechanical staff; provide technical guidance and foster a safety culture.




- Budget & Inventory: Manage budgets, spare parts inventory, and maintenance records (MIS).
- Process Improvement: Identify areas to streamline operations, minimize downtime, and reduce costs.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Robust technical knowledge of HEMM (excavators, loaders, dozers, etc.).
- Experience in heavy equipment maintenance, reliability, and operations in mining.
- Leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
