Job Description:

Design and development:
Create and refine designs for cable systems, wiring harnesses, and infrastructure, including routing, ducting, and joint bays.

Technical documentation:
Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and calculations, such as cable routing, cross-sections, and drum schedules.

Material selection:
Choose appropriate materials for cables, connectors, and other components based on performance, reliability, and cost.

Compliance and standards:
Ensure designs adhere to relevant industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE) and project-specific requirements.

Collaboration:
Work closely with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and project teams to integrate designs into larger systems.

Testing and analysis:
Conduct thermal analysis and ampacity studies, and participate in testing or verification as needed.

Problem-solving:
Review designs for potential problems, conduct risk analysis, and optimize designs for cost and performance.

Support:
Provide technical support to project managers, manufacturing, and commercial teams.
