Manager - PMO

Role Summary

n

This role will support managing a portfolio of pharmaceutical products across multiple therapeutic categories, ensuring aligned execution across development, manufacturing (API & formulations), supply chain, and regulatory functions. The role will act as the central PMO anchor for portfolio tracking, stakeholder coordination, and leadership reporting, enabling visibility and control across parallel product programs.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Planning & Tracking

n

n
- Track and monitor multiple product pipelines and commercial portfolios spanning development, scale-up, and launch stages.
n
- Maintain integrated portfolio dashboards covering key milestones (tech transfer, manufacturing readiness, launch execution).
n
- Support prioritization across projects within the category based on timelines, dependencies, and business impact.
n

Cross-Functional Coordination

n

n
- Coordinate closely with API and formulation manufacturing sites, R&D; teams, SCM, regulatory, and commercial functions to ensure milestone adherence.
n
- Align site-level execution (manufacturing readiness, material availability, validation timelines) with portfolio commitments.
n
- Facilitate structured communication across stakeholders to resolve interdependencies between projects.
n

Management Reporting & Governance

n

n
- Prepare category-level MIS, portfolio health dashboards, and executive summaries for the Category Head and senior leadership.
n
- Drive governance forums (weekly/monthly reviews), ensuring clear action tracking, escalation of bottlenecks, and decision follow-through.
n
- Provide structured updates on launch readiness, On-Time Delivery (OTD), and key project KPIs.

Risk, Dependency & Issue Management

n

n
- Identify risks across API sourcing, formulation scale-up, manufacturing capacity,



and supply chain execution.
n
- Track inter-project dependencies and ensure timely escalation of critical risks impacting portfolio delivery.
n
- Support mitigation planning and ensure closure through stakeholder follow-ups.
n

Launch Readiness & Execution Support

n

n
- Monitor end-to-end launch readiness including manufacturing readiness (API & formulation), packaging material availability, and supply planning.
n
- Coordinate with global/corporate project management teams to ensure synchronized execution across markets.
n

n

External Partner & Process Oversight

n

n
- Coordinate with external partners (CDMOs, testing labs, vendors) for project timelines, documentation, and deliverables.
n
- Ensure adherence to defined PMO processes, documentation standards, and reporting protocols.
n

Experience & Qualifications

n

n
- MBA/PGDM in Pharmaceutical Management from Tier 1 Institute
n
- 5–8 years of experience in Project Management / PMO within pharmaceutical organizations.
n
- Mandatory exposure to both API and formulation manufacturing environments, with hands-on involvement in cross-functional project coordination.
n
- Experience in managing or supporting multiple products / portfolio-level tracking
n
- Robust understanding of product development lifecycles, regulatory milestones, and commercial launch processes.
n

Key Skills

n

- Portfolio tracking, MIS, and Executive-level reporting
n
- Hands-on experience with MS Office (MS PowerPoint, MS Excel) as well as Data Analytics tools
n
- Strong Stakeholder Management across manufacturing sites and corporate teams
n
- Proficiency in project planning tools (MS Project / Primavera / Excel trackers)
n
- Ability to handle multiple parallel projects with high complexity and interdependencies
n
- Analytical mindset with focus on risk identification and resolution tracking
