We are looking for a video editor to work on our academic content video lessons, concept explainers, exam-prep content, and short learning videos. You will take raw footage and source material and turn it into polished, easy-to-follow videos that help learners actually understand and retain what they are watching.
Responsibilities
- Edit academic and learning content video lessons, concept explainers, exam-prep videos and short-form learning videos (15–60 seconds)
- Handle the full edit: cuts and pacing, sound design, music, subtitles/captions, colour correction and export
- Create supporting motion graphics such as on-screen text, diagrams, callouts, transitions and easy animations to explain concepts clearly
- Work with the content and academic teams to understand the material and translate it into a clear, watchable video
- Use AI video tools where useful to speed up production without compromising quality.
- Turn around edits quickly and make revisions based on feedback
- Keep project files, footage and templates organised and easy to find, and make sure every video is consistent in look, tone and quality
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: 1–2 years of video editing experience, ideally including educational, explainer or short-form content
- Portfolio: a reel or set of videos you edited yourself; this matters more to us than your CV
- Tools: working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut Pro, plus After Effects for motion graphics
- AI tools: comfortable with, or keen to learn, AI video tools such as Higgsfield and HeyGen
- Craft: a good feel for pacing, clarity and structure; you can make a complex topic easy to follow on screen
- Speed: comfortable handling volume and tight deadlines without letting quality slip
- Collaboration: takes direction well, communicates clearly, and works well in a fast-moving startup
- Bonus: experience with short-form/social content, Photoshop or Canva, or a background in ed-tech content
