Main purpose of role

With already a strong QA background in High Tech software, you will fulfill your QA activities in a scrum or Kanban based agile team. Within this team of usually 8 or less engineers, including 1 or 2 QA, you are expected to demonstrate your QA skills by:

- System and Application monitoring tools
- Defining and setting up probes
- Automated test execution
- Performance test reporting

Key Role Responsibilities

Within the QA department of the R&D;, your mission will be to participate in the different development projects as Senior QA engineer,



expert in the domain of Java application performance testing ; both under Solaris and GNU-Linux Operating Systems.

Relying on your experience, you will be the leader in defining the scope and implementation choices to ensure the necessary performance & robustness tests are performed in each of your workgroups that include Product Managers, Architects and Developers.

Thanks to your expertise and your technical autonomy, you are implementing and driving to production the chosen performance and robustness test strategies in the Applications & Solutions QA team.

A major target will be to automatize all performance and robustness tests in order to allow for a frequent, simple and reliable execution alongside a continuous integration platform.

Skills (technical and non-technical) & Qualifications

Must have

- Proven experiences in:
- 1. Performance/Load/Stress/Robustness software testing
2. Use of System and Java Application Monitoring tools
3. Scalability testing of both Servers and Client Applications
4. Probing, development of data injectors and simulators
5. Iterative software optimization based on reliable test results
6. Abacus definition and Performance Test Reporting

- Good knowledge of Java programing
- Experience in testing Rest services
- Good hands on experience on Oracle and sql commands
- Very Good knowledge of the JDK analysis tools




- Very Good knowledge of GNU Linux (RHEL) and UNIX shell commands
- Practical knowledge of system and software trouble shooting including logs investigation

Preferable

- Knowledge of Gherkins and Cucumber
- Experience & Expertise

You should have B Tech or MCA degree with minimum 8-10 years of experience in software testing and automated testing.

In the last 6 years, should have worked into Java application performance testing both on server and Web client sides. You have had successful hands on experiences on Big Data and Big Analytics setup and testing problematics.

- Should be able to independently carry out the research about product and tools and technologies
- Must have good understanding and working experience of scrum based agile methodology.
