Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to support our veterinary team in providing safe, hygienic, and efficient care to animals. This is a hands-on role involving direct interaction with pets, assisting veterinarians during procedures, and supporting day-to-day clinic operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Handling & Care
- Assist in handling and safely restraining pets, including dogs, cats, and small animals
- Ensure the comfort and safety of animals before, during, and after procedures
- Help calm anxious or stressed animals
- Assist with moving and positioning patients when required
Clinic Hygiene & Setup
- Prepare and maintain consultation and procedure rooms
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of clinical areas
- Clean and disinfect equipment and surfaces as per clinic protocols
- Assist with proper waste disposal and hygiene procedures
Procedure Support
- Assist veterinarians and technicians during consultations, treatments, and procedures
- Prepare basic equipment and supplies required for procedures
- Support basic care activities under veterinary supervision, such as wound cleaning and oral medication
- Monitor patients and promptly report any changes in their condition or behaviour
Post-Operative & Patient Care
- Assist with feeding, cage cleaning, and general patient care
- Monitor animals during recovery and ensure their comfort
- Assist in administering medications and treatments under veterinary supervision
- Maintain proper hygiene and cleanliness of patient areas
Team Support
- Coordinate effectively with veterinarians, technicians, and clinic staff
- Assist with maintaining an organized and efficient clinical workplace
- Follow instructions, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures
- Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and discipline at all times
Requirements
- Minimum 12th Pass (HSC)
- Previous experience in pet care, veterinary clinics, animal hospitals, or a similar environment is preferred
- Physically fit for an active role, including handling/lifting pets and performing cleaning tasks
- Comfortable working in shifts, weekends, and during emergencies when required
- Passion for animal care and willingness to learn
- Comfortable working around animals and in a clinical environment

Salary ₹20,000 – ₹30,000 per month, based on experience and skills.
Important Note
This is a physically active, hands-on role and not a desk job. Candidates must be comfortable handling animals, assisting during procedures, maintaining hygiene, and performing cleaning and patient-support tasks.
