Shah Equity is hiring active US equity traders with demonstrated mathematical edge and real performance history. We give you capital, infrastructure, AI tooling, and a quant team to algorithmize what works.

The Opportunity

Shah Equity is a proprietary trading and AI-native operating company. We deploy capital across multiple strategies and we're looking for active US equity & derivative traders who have already proven mathematical edge with their own capital.

We provide what most independent traders lack: meaningful capital, institutional-grade infrastructure, AI tooling for execution and analytics, a quant team to convert profitable manual setups into algorithms, and a community of responsible traders to compound with.

This role is structured as a strategy acquisition channel as much as a hiring channel. If you have real edge, we want to scale it with you.

Mission

Trade US equities profitably using your documented edge. Partner with our quant team to convert what works into algorithms. Hit performance milestones that unlock larger capital allocation.

90-Day Outcomes

- Demonstrate consistent execution of your stated strategy on Shah Equity capital
- Hit 25%+ monthly returns within 3-month probationary period (failure to hit triggers exit)
- Document your strategy in writing (rules, entry/exit, risk parameters) with our quant team
- Begin collaboration with quant team on signal-to-algorithm conversion if strategy is suitable for automation

What You Bring





- Multiple years of active US equity trading experience
- Demonstrable track record broker statements, account screenshots, or third-party verification
- Specific articulated edge not vibes, not chart reading, but a definable rule set with measurable expectancy
- Mathematical or statistical fluency sufficient to discuss your strategy in quantitative terms
- Discipline and risk management we kill traders who blow up risk limits regardless of upside

Compensation Structure Base salary 3.8-9 LPA depending on profile. Performance bonus structure tied to actual trading P&L; on Shah Equity capital. Top-performing traders whose strategies are successfully algorithmized may receive equity in the resulting algorithmic strategy at the operating-entity level (not Holdings).

Probationary Structure

First 2-3 months: 50% of base salary while you trade Shah Equity capital and prove your edge. Hit 25%+ monthly returns and you convert to full base + performance bonus. Don't hit it and we part professionally.

How You'll Use AI

- AI-assisted pre-market scanning and watchlist generation
- AI-assisted post-trade journaling and pattern analysis




- Partnership with quant team using AI to test and refine your strategy parameters
- Note: AI does not trade for you. You trade. AI helps you trade better.

Work Sample (After Initial Screen) 48 hours: send a structured strategy document covering (1) the specific market inefficiency you exploit, (2) entry and exit rules with quantitative thresholds, (3) historical performance metrics including drawdowns and worst trades, & average p&l; (%) monthly (4) the conditions under which the strategy fails, (5) how you've adapted the strategy to changing market regimes.

Notes:

Traders with strategies that are based around these methodologies have higher acceptance rates; scalping, price action, high frequency, hedging, mean reversion, order flow tading, ODTE options trading.
