Role Description The US Payroll Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in South Goa district, responsible for managing end-to-end payroll activities for US-based employees. This position handles accurate and timely payroll processing, including maintenance of employee records, calculation of wages, overtime, and benefits, and coordination with HR and Finance to ensure data integrity.
The role includes managing payroll tax filings, garnishments, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as liaising with external payroll service providers when needed.
The specialist will respond to employee payroll inquiries, perform regular reconciliations, generate reports for management, and support audits. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, confidentiality, and adherence to Albéa’s standards of operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Payroll Processing and Payroll Administration, including handling multi-state US payroll cycles.
- Candidates should possess experience managing Payroll Taxes and working with Payroll Services providers, ensuring compliance with US regulations.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Garnishments and other statutory deductions, with the ability to apply legal requirements accurately.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with payroll and HRIS systems, as well as intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
- Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, and/or skilled payroll certification (e.g., CPP, FPC) are beneficial.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion are essential.
- Effective communication skills, the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prior experience with US payroll in a corporate environment are preferred.
