VP – Software Development Training & Certification

Location: Remote | Experience: 10+ years (specifically in software development teaching/training) | Reports to: COO / Head of Candidate Revenue

About the Role

We're building a software development training and certification track (e.g., Java, Node.js, and related technologies), delivered by instructors using structured, self-curated syllabi and live/online instruction — no proprietary LMS or content platform involved. We're looking for a veteran software development educator to lead this entire function: designing the training model, recruiting and managing instructors, and ensuring every batch is delivered to a high standard.

What you'll own

- Designing the training curriculum structure and instructional standards for software development certification courses (e.g., Java, Node.js, full-stack tracks)
- Recruiting, training, and managing a team of instructors delivering live/online software development classes
- Personally delivering or co-delivering select training batches where needed, setting the quality bar for all instructors
- Building syllabi from current,



credible sources and ensuring content stays aligned with industry-relevant tools, frameworks, and certification standards
- Monitoring class quality, student outcomes, and certification/completion rates, and continuously improving the training model
- Reporting training operations health and outcomes to leadership

What we're looking for

- Minimum 10 years of hands-on teaching/training experience specifically in software development — live or online classroom instruction, not just industry practice
- Deep subject-matter expertise across relevant technologies (Java, Node.js, or equivalent stacks) with recognized certifications in the taught technologies
- Proven experience building or leading a training program/instructor team, not just individual teaching
- Robust ability to design a structured 1-month training syllabus from publicly available and industry-standard material
- Excellent communication and instructional delivery skills — this person sets the teaching standard for the entire function
