Chandigarh University, Mohali (Punjab) is looking for passionate, academically accomplished, and research-oriented Law Faculty to join the University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS).

Experience Required

n

Professor: Minimum 12 years of relevant teaching/research/academic experience.

n

Associate Professor: Minimum 8 years of relevant teaching/research/academic experience.

n

n

Eligibility & Qualifications

n

LL.B., LL.M. and Ph.D. in Law from a recognized university/institution.

n

Candidates must meet applicable UGC/BCI and other regulatory requirements.

n

Strong academic record with relevant teaching/research experience.

n

Candidates with publications in reputed/recognized journals will be preferred.

n

Relevant experience in legal practice, judiciary, academia, or industry will be an added advantage

n

n

Key Responsibilities

n

Deliver high-quality lectures, tutorials, seminars, and practical sessions.

n

Develop and update course content, lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments.

n

Teach subjects across areas including Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Corporate Law, Contract Law, IPR, International Law, Family Law, Labour Law, Environmental Law, Cyber Law, Taxation Law, and other relevant specializations.

n

Mentor students in academics,



research, moot courts, internships, and career development.

n

Undertake quality research and publish papers in reputed journals.

n

Guide dissertations, projects, and research work.

n

Contribute to conferences, seminars, workshops, research projects, and academic activities.

n

Support moot court, legal aid clinic, debate, mediation, client counselling, and other co-curricular initiatives.

n

Contribute to curriculum development, academic planning, accreditation, and departmental activities.

n

Develop collaborations with legal professionals, law firms, courts, universities, and other institutions.

n
