Job Title: Trainee/Fresher Chemist – Wet Process (PCB Manufacturing)

Department: Production / Chemical Process

Reporting To: Wet Process Shift Engineer / Production Manager

Qualification: B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry (Industrial Chemistry preferred) or Diploma/B.Tech in Chemical Engineering

Experience: 0–1 year (Freshers welcome)

Role Summary

Assist in day-to-day operations of wet chemical process lines (electroless copper, electrolytic plating, etching, DES, surface finish, cleaning/desmear) used in PCB fabrication, ensuring process parameters, chemistry quality, and safety standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor wet process lines: cleaning, micro-etch, electroless Cu, copper/tin/gold plating, etching (alkaline/acid), DES (desmear), and surface finish (HASL, ENIG, OSP, immersion silver/tin).
- Perform regular chemical bath analysis (titration, pH, specific gravity, Cu concentration, etc.) and maintain records.
- Dose and replenish chemicals as per standard operating procedures (SOPs) to keep bath parameters within control limits.
- Monitor process quality — plating thickness, adhesion, uniformity — and report deviations.
- Maintain daily production and quality logs; support documentation for ISO/quality audits.
- Handle chemical waste and effluent as per environmental (ETP)



and safety guidelines.
- Coordinate with QA/QC and R&D; teams for troubleshooting process issues.
- Follow all EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) protocols while handling acids, alkalis, and plating chemicals.
- Support new process trials and improvement initiatives under supervision.

Skills Required

- Basic knowledge of analytical chemistry (titration, wet chemical analysis).
- Understanding of electrochemistry/electroplating fundamentals (added advantage).
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts and a wet-process shop-floor workplace.
- Good observation, documentation, and communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Excel/Word for reporting).

Other Requirements

- Comfortable working with industrial chemicals under safety supervision (PPE mandatory).
- Physically fit for shop-floor/shift-based work.

Pay: ₹20,500.00 - ₹21,500.00 per month
