Role Overview

As part of HSBC’s workload automation strategy, the Control-M Administrator will help maximize the use of Control-M, developing solutions to empower IT and business teams. The role focuses on solutions development, new functionality, and platform integrations.

Responsibilities

Install and configure current Control-M instances

Support environment testing (performance, regression, stress)

Troubleshoot Control-M application/infrastructure issues

Consult with application teams on Control-M offerings

Develop Control-M infrastructure solutions for user requirements

Maintain code following software engineering best practices

Collaborate with vendors for support and enhancements





Document SOPs and knowledge transfer for support teams

Skills & Experience Required

6+ years as a Control-M Administrator

Excellent verbal and written English

Experience supporting Control-M on Unix/Linux

Experience testing, evaluating, and deploying new Control-M features/fix packs

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently

Experience with DevOps tools (Jenkins, GIT, Ansible)

Control-M scheduling (including JSON, XML, AAPI)

Optional / Nice to Have

Experience with logging/monitoring tools (Splunk, AppDynamics, Thousand Eyes)

Experience deploying new Control-M features/fix packs

Familiarity with Bash, Python, or similar scripting

- Experience using Ansible for deployment/configuration
