Role Description This full-time, on-site Technical Writer – DITA and Media Designing role is based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad area. The role involves creating, structuring, and maintaining high-quality technical documentation using DITA standards, including user guides, manuals, online help, and knowledge base content.

The Technical

Writer will collaborate with engineering, product, and support teams to gather technical information, ensure accuracy, and translate complex concepts into clear, user-friendly content.

Responsibilities also include media design tasks such as developing visual assets, diagrams, and multimedia elements that enhance documentation usability and accessibility. The role requires adherence to documentation templates and style guidelines,



continuous improvement of content quality, and timely delivery of documentation for product releases.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Technical Writing and Technical Communication to create clear, concise, and user-focused content.
- Experience in Technical Documentation and Documentation processes, including content planning, authoring, and maintenance.
- Ability to develop and update Manuals and other structured documentation using DITA or similar frameworks.
- Proficiency with documentation tools (e.g., XML/DITA editors, CCMS, or similar authoring tools) and basic media design software.
- Understanding of information architecture, content reusability, and version control practices.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Technical Communication, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in technical writing for software, IT, or engineering products is preferred.

Create, manage, and maintain technical documentation using DITA/XML-based structured authoring

Design and develop interactive eLearning modules using Articulate 360 (Storyline 360 & Rise 360)

Build SCORM-compliant (1.2/2004) courses and deploy them on LMS platforms

Convert PowerPoint presentations into polished, qualified MP4 training videos

Develop multimedia learning content that supports diverse training and documentation needs

Follow technical writing best practices across the full documentation lifecycle — planning, drafting, reviewing, and publishing

Collaborate with subject matter experts, product teams, and instructional designers to ensure content accuracy and clarity

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience in technical writing with strong DITA/XML documentation expertise

Hands-on proficiency with Articulate 360 (Storyline 360 & Rise 360)

Solid understanding of SCORM standards and LMS deployment processes

Experience creating multimedia and interactive training content

Skilled at converting presentations into professional video formats

Excellent written communication and attention to detail

Strong grasp of documentation lifecycle and structured authoring principles
