You will be responsible for building and maintaining internal tools and applications that power Backdropsource's operations — from workflow automation to custom dashboards. You will use AI-assisted development tools to move fast, while still understanding and owning the code and logic behind what you ship. You will also play a role in identifying and fixing security vulnerabilities across our applications and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain in-house web applications and internal tools to support business operations.
- Use AI coding assistants and AI-powered development workflows effectively — while fully understanding, reviewing, and owning the underlying logic and code produced.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code across the stack (frontend, backend, and integrations).
- Identify, assess,
and remediate security vulnerabilities in applications, scripts, and integrations.
- Debug and troubleshoot existing internal tools, and continuously improve performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with operations, HR, and design teams to translate business requirements into working applications.
- Maintain basic documentation for tools built, including setup, logic, and security considerations.
- Support and contribute to Shopify-related development tasks as needed (customizations, integrations, storefront tweaks).
