Role Overview

n

PYP Coordinator to lead the effective implementation and continuous development of the IB Primary Years Program (PYP). The ideal candidate will be a collaborative instructional leader who can mentor teachers, strengthen inquiry-based learning and ensure alignment with IB standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Lead and coordinate the implementation of the IB PYP across the primary school.
n
- Guide teachers in inquiry-based, concept-driven and transdisciplinary learning.
n
- Facilitate team-oriented planning, curriculum mapping and review of Units of Inquiry.
n
- Support teachers in developing effective assessment strategies and documentation.
n
- Mentor, coach and develop teachers through observations, feedback and professional learning.
n
- Promote student agency, learner profile attributes and international-mindedness.
n
- Monitor curriculum implementation and identify areas for continuous improvement.
n
- Work closely with the Principal and academic leadership team on curriculum and school development.
n
- Coordinate PYP documentation, policies and IB-related requirements.
n
- Support the school during IB authorization, evaluation and programme development processes.
n
- Conduct workshops and orientation sessions for teachers and parents to strengthen understanding of the PYP.
n

Qualifications & Experience

n

n
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Education or a relevant discipline.
n
- 5–8+ years of teaching experience in an IB PYP school and good experience as a PYP Coordinator.
n
- Prior experience as a PYP Coordinator, PYP Lead or Curriculum Coordinator is highly preferred.
n
- Strong understanding of IB PYP standards, practices and approaches to teaching and learning.
n
- IB PYP workshop/training certification is preferred.
n
- Demonstrated experience in teacher mentoring, curriculum leadership and professional development.
n
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and leadership skills.
n
