About the Role
n
BIBA Fashion is looking for an experienced Factory Head to lead its Indore Unit. The role requires a dynamic leader with deep expertise in luxury women wear ethnic apparel manufacturing, specializing in Aari, Adda, Zardozi, Resham, Sequin, Beadwork, Mirror Work, Thread Embroidery, and other intricate handcrafted embellishments . The incumbent will be responsible for driving operational excellence, quality, productivity, cost optimization, and timely execution while maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Manufacturing
n
n
- Lead end-to-end production of embroidered garments from sampling to bulk production.
n
- Plan daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to achieve delivery commitments.
n
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, embroidery frames (Adda), and production capacity.
n
- Drive productivity improvements while maintaining superior craftsmanship.
n
- Monitor production efficiency and minimize idle time and bottlenecks.
n

Hand Embroidery & Surface Ornamentation
n
n
- Possess strong technical knowledge of:

Quality Management
n
n
- Establish robust quality control checkpoints across all production stages.
n
- Ensure zero-defect production through continuous monitoring.
n
- Minimize rework and rejection rates.
n
- Ensure all garments meet BIBA's premium quality standards.
n
n
Artisan & Workforce Management
n
n
- Lead a large team of production managers, supervisors, artisans, embroiderers, quality personnel, and support staff.
n
- Build and maintain strong relationships with embroidery contractors and artisan clusters.
n
- Conduct skill enhancement and productivity improvement initiatives.
n
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, workplace discipline, and ethical manufacturing practices.
n

Vendor & Contractor Management
n
n
- Develop and manage a network of embroidery vendors and job workers.
n
- Evaluate vendor capabilities and monitor performance.
n
- Negotiate commercial terms while ensuring quality and delivery commitments.
n
- Ensure raw material availability for uninterrupted production.
n
n
Cost & Productivity Management
n
n
- Drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality.
n
- Improve line efficiency, production planning, and workflow optimization.
n
- Monitor production KPIs and prepare MIS reports.
n
- Optimize wastage, thread consumption, embellishment usage, and material utilization.
n

Desired Candidate Profile
n
Education
n
n
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Fashion Technology, Apparel Production, Textile Engineering, or a related field.
n
n
Experience
n
n
- 15–20+ years of experience in apparel manufacturing.
n
- Minimum 8–10 years in a leadership role managing hand embroidery or luxury ethnic wear production.
n
- Experience with premium ethnic wear, bridal wear, couture, or luxury fashion brands is highly preferred.
n
