We are looking for an experienced Tableau Engineer to design, develop, and optimize enterprise BI and reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Tableau, SQL, data integration, and dashboard performance optimization, along with experience working in pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences, or regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop interactive, scalable Tableau dashboards and reports for enterprise business users.
- Use advanced Tableau capabilities including LOD expressions, calculated fields, parameters, sets, filters, and dashboard actions.
- Build and maintain Tableau solutions using Tableau Desktop, Server, and Prep Builder.
- Integrate Tableau with data platforms including Amazon Redshift, AWS S3, SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, data models, extracts, and aggregations for reporting solutions.
- Analyze and resolve Tableau workbook and dashboard performance issues.
- Support Tableau Server publishing, scheduling, permissions, and production reporting.
- Work with Kneat and regulated quality systems, ensuring data integrity, validation, compliance, and controlled reporting.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and manage tasks/documentation through Jira and Confluence.
Required Skills
- 6+ years of Tableau development experience in enterprise environments.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Prep.
- Excellent SQL skills and experience with query/performance optimization.
- Experience with Redshift, AWS S3, SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
- Strong understanding of BI, data visualization, reporting, and data modeling.
- Experience optimizing Tableau extracts, workbooks, dashboards, and queries.
- Robust communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
Preferred Skills
- Pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences, or regulated-industry experience.
- Experience with Kneat or similar quality/validation systems.
- Knowledge of data integrity, compliance, validation, and controlled reporting.
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
