Experience Level: 10+ Years
Role Type: Architect / Technical Lead
Location: Pune / Bangalore / Hyderabad
Position Summary The System Architect defines the end-to-end hardware-software boundaries, allocation of chip resources, and integration topology for the complete digital cockpit. They bridge the gap between high-performance computing (HPC) hardware and cross-domain software stacks, working across multi-OS platforms to deliver a unified, high-performance cockpit experience.
Key Responsibilities
●Define and review complete system architecture for next-generation multi-OS cockpit platforms (e.g.,
Linux/Android + QNX).
●Manage overall system resource allocation, memory maps, CPU profiling, and boot-time optimization.
●Drive cross-domain system integration including 3D HMI deployment, AR/VR navigation, and audio/voice assistant engines.
●Lead technical discussions on vehicle-wide solutions like Over-The-Air (OTA) updates, SOVD (Service-
Oriented Vehicle Diagnostics), and variant coding.
●Own architecture trade-off decisions across compute, memory, and I/O partitioning between guest operating systems.
●Collaborate with silicon, hardware, and application teams to align system architecture with platform roadmaps.
●Review designs, mentor senior engineers, and drive architecture governance across the cockpit program.
Required Technical Skills
●Mixed-OS system design experience (Linux/Android Automotive OS paired with QNX).
●Deep understanding of cockpit domains: 3D HMI engines (Kanzi/Unreal), Advanced Navigation
(AR/VR), Voice Assistant, and ECNR systems.
●Vehicle lifecycle expertise: diagnostic protocols (SOVD, UDS), Variant Coding, and secure end-to-end
FOTA engineering.
●Strong grounding in Functional Safety Concepts (ISO 26262), ASPICE, and system-level performance profiling.
●Ability to define and manage system resource allocation, memory maps, and CPU/boot-time optimization across HPC platforms.
Preferred Skills
●Experience with automotive HPC SoCs (Qualcomm Snapdragon Ride, NVIDIA DRIVE/Orin, Renesas R-
Car, or similar).
●Exposure to hypervisor-based cockpit architectures and multi-domain compute consolidation.
●Familiarity with automotive Ethernet, SOME/IP, and vehicle network architecture.
●Prior experience presenting system architecture in customer or technical proposal reviews.
Education
●B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Electronics, Computer Science, or related discipline.
●M.E. / M.Tech or equivalent systems architecture experience preferred for this role.
Project Experience
●Demonstrated ownership of system architecture for at least one production digital cockpit or infotainment platform.
●Experience taking a multi-OS cockpit system from architecture definition through integration and release.
Soft Skills
●Strong systems-thinking and cross-domain architecture judgment.
●Technical leadership and ability to align hardware, software, and customer stakeholders.
●Clear architecture documentation and presentation skills.
Positive to Have
●Experience with AR/VR navigation or 3D HMI engine architecture.
●Exposure to SOVD-based vehicle diagnostics implementations.
●Familiarity with safety-driven HMI design constraints.
Expected Deliverables
●Complete system architecture specification for the cockpit platform.
●Resource allocation, memory map, and boot-optimization plans.
●Cross-domain integration roadmap covering HMI, navigation, and voice assistant subsystems.
●Technical governance across OTA, diagnostics, and variant coding workstreams.
