About the Role

n

Republic Digital is looking for a confident, articulate, and digitally savvy Business Show Anchor to lead and present business and financial news content across Republic's digital platforms including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and X (Twitter).

n

The ideal candidate should possess strong on-camera presence, excellent understanding of business, economy, markets, startups, and corporate affairs, along with the ability to simplify complex financial stories into engaging digital-first content formats for online audiences.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Anchor and host business news shows, explainers, interviews, and special digital segments across Republic Digital platforms.
n
- Deliver engaging coverage on markets, economy, startups, technology, corporate developments, and global business trends.
n
- Create platform-specific video content for YouTube, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and X (Twitter).
n
- Demonstrate solid editorial judgment and the ability to take sharp, decisive calls on breaking business and market news.
n
- Take end-to-end editorial responsibility for assigned on-air content, ensuring accuracy, speed, and impactful storytelling across broadcast and social media platforms.
n
- Drive the proliferation of on-air content across digital and social media ecosystems, maximizing reach, engagement, and relevance.
n
- Research, script, and present breaking business stories and trending financial topics in a crisp and audience-friendly format.
n




- Conduct interviews with industry experts, founders, analysts, economists, and corporate leaders.
n
- Collaborate with editorial, graphics, and production teams for daily content planning and execution.
n
- Contribute ideas for innovative digital formats, short-form videos, explainers, and social-first business content.
n
- Ensure accuracy, speed, and editorial quality while handling fast-paced news cycles.
n
- Support social media packaging through impactful headlines, captions, and promotional hooks where required.
n
- strongly and effectively contribute to original business reportage, including breaking exclusive stories, ground reports, etc.
n
- Coordinate closely with editorial, production, broadcast and digital teams to ensure seamless multi-platform execution of news.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Experience in business journalism, digital anchoring, or financial news presentation.
n
- Strong understanding of business news, stock markets, economy, startups, technology, and corporate affairs.
n
- Excellent command over spoken and written English.
n
- Strong on-camera presentation and interviewing skills.
n
- Ability to explain complex business and financial concepts in a simple and engaging manner.
n
- Familiarity with digital audience trends and social media-driven news consumption.
n
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced digital newsroom environment.
n
- Knowledge of social media content formats, short-form storytelling, and audience engagement strategies is preferred.

Preferred Background -

n

Candidates with prior experience in digital media platforms, business podcasts handling business and financial domains will be preferred.
