Job Description

Role Description: The Modeler is responsible for creating accurate 3D models from the Structural and/or Architectural design drawings. The models created must be in accordance with the contract specified standards. The Modeler must coordinate effectively with Project Managers and Checkers.

Responsibilities:

n

· Knowledge of latest Tekla structures, AUTO CAD

n

· Knowledge of AISC and CISC standards

n

· Excellent knowledge of Main Steel and Miscellaneous Structures (Stairs, ladders, Rails, Gates, etc.)

n

· Ability to interpret and understand architectural drawings, structural drawings and specifications

n

· Gather necessary information from various available sources and create accurate and complete Tekla Models as per contract drawings

n

· Understand engineering of easy connection design and produce clear, concise and complete models

n

· Furnish drawings for approval and fabrication

n





· Generation and tracking of RFI's by reviewing contract drawings

n

· Work with custom connection applications, connections & marking plans

n

· Answer client queries on assigned projects

n

· Must be self-motivated to manage, coordinate and facilitate multiple initiatives in a dynamic environment

n

· Must be a team player to collaborate and achieve common goals as a coherent team

n

· Ability to work and deliver as Project timelines and schedules demand

n

· Knowledge of OSHA, NISD & AWS would be an added advantage

n
